Danny Amuyal recounts screaming to evacuate when noticing an unattended bag containing the bomb. At the time, three children were sitting directly beside it.
Amuyal was thrown some 15 feet by the blast, and has had ball bearings removed from his body. I don’t know if it’s still in vogue, but previous terrorist bombs contained shrapnel dipped in rat poison.
Despite this, Amuyal does not consider himself a hero ‘cos he was unable to save the life of Mary-Jane Gardner; whose parents live up hereabouts. Compare and contrast to the loose morality which sees a three month holiday to sunny climes taunting security forces which are not to deliberately target and almost certainly not inadvertently target them as something to dine out on .
If they want to be sure of saving lives, they should offer themselves as human shields in Jerusalem bus stations. Amuyal has undoubtedly saved more lives than any one of them, and quite probably more than all of them combined.

The murdered woman was a Bible translator:

That’s the sickest thing about the Jew-murder which the bombers were looking for… it draws in Muslims and Christians, Arabs and Europeans.

My thoughts on this matter here.
