“I don’t know how to make things really different for anyone.”

I sense a yearning in VR’s post to be able to make a difference but feeling powerless. When a Rabbi feels this what chance for Gentiles in being able to do anything that makes a difference. The comments in other posts on this blog demonstrate the gulf between people on either side of the Israeli/Palestinian question although one cannot deny the common desire for peace.

I think VR lives in the Berkshires in New England were I have just visited. The area has the same sort of beauty as the area in which I live in North Wales. It is almost impossible in the environment where we live to understand the pain being experienced by those who live in Israel or Palestine but that doesn’t stop us from pontificating from the comfort of our armchairs.
