Don’t emigrate to North Queensland then Richard.
“Look at the stuff that’s up there in it. Luckily it’s going away from us.”
And all said in a fairly calm voice
Richard, I tried to send above comment under the name ‘Pamela’ but it wasn’t accepted. Can you assist for next comment? Thanks, I think it will help with confusion issue!
We were in the basement last Wednesday night when when the television announced that a severe storm with tornadic rotation was coming up the major street which we live about 100 yards from. Fortunately, nothing actually developed.
We just bought ourselves a weather alert radio, which I’d never heard of before; you keep it on and it’s silent until the weather service announces an alert, a watch or a warning. Just in case we don’t hear the tornado sirens in the middle of the night.
This sort of adventure and excitement I could do without!
My friends in Florida had a weather alert radio. Fortunately it remained silent while we were with them. I did see a funnel cloud forming whilst driving through southern Florida(I have a DV tape of it somewhere) but it didn’t develop in to a tornado. We also had a narrowescape with Hurrican Charley in 2004, but I’m not complaining!
