It looks like you’re enjoying your trip through scenic Scotland. I trust that, at least for the holiday, you’re breaking with your own impoverished tradition (a) by pouring some wonderful single malt down your throat, and (b) by soaking up some decent (i.e., Barthian and Iona Community) Calvinism.

Prefer Celtic to Calvin, meself. Just finished some Talisker, though - the love that renders all distinctions void, and continues to warm the heart.

There is a lot of bollocks talked about “Celtic Christianity”. Not that you, Tony, would be among those talking it. ;)

Mine, by the way, is Laphroaig.

Having just spent a week on Iona I have to say it did me the world of good. Big emphasis on community. It may sound strange but I do like a drop of Sheep Dip.
