I’m afraid that, with the teams I support, “watching sports” leads me not only not to believe in God but also to believe firmly in the devil. On the other hand, Isaiah 53 gives a pretty good impression of my teams. So in a sense, sport maskes me believe, negatively, in the death of God and, positively, in a theologia crucis.
Commenter from the States here: As a Colorado Rockies fan (baseball), each summer is a new chance for me to question either the benevolence or the omnipotence of God, or his existence altogether.

I watched every moment of Samantha Stosur winning the US Open Tennis - maybe I’m only 75% atheist.

Kim,
I know what pain is. And forgiveness.
I’ve supported the Sydney Swans for years.

Hey Benjer, as the play-offs begin this year, spare a thought for Red Sox and Braves fans!
