Only in Swansea?

by Richard on June 30, 2005

The BBC is reporting a bizarre ‘phone sex video’ inquiry at the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Agency, based here in Swansea.

A woman has been suspended over claims that mobile phone clips of her having sex were seen by hundreds of colleagues.

The Swansea-based Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) worker was said to have downloaded clips to her mobile phone and sent the footage to friends.

Within hours, the clips were said to have been sent to 300 fellow workers.

The Pigs Lip works there… I wonder if he was sent a copy?

I confess, I don’t understand this story at all. Why on earth would someone want video of themselves having sex on their phone? (I should rephrase that to remove the ambiguity, but I don’t think I’ll bother) And even that does seem like a reasonable thing to do, what would possess you to send it to others? Is it just me, or is the world going mad?

I guess that this doesn’t shock me as much as it should, since we in the states have set the standards for shared unacceptable behavior. By the way, I now know another reason I don’t need a cell phone that can take pictures. You never know what bordem and stupidity combined with a camera can come up with. Couple that with the Internet and you have instant scandal!

And it certainly gives a new meaning to the defination of “phone sex”…….

I was indeed sent a copy. There were actually three live videos - all too graphic to go into detail about. To be honest, I am suprised that more of the stuff that goes on in there never reaches the press.

The mind boggles! You won’t be posting it on your blog then?

Only if I wanted to lose my job. We have been told in no uncertain words that we are not to speak of what happens within those walls.

Sounds heavy.
