London bombings: more arrests

by Richard on July 27, 2005

Four men have been arrested in Birmingham, another two in Grantham.

This is how we’ll defeat the terrorists. The rule of law.

And if the terrorists are beyond the reach of the police? Say, in a remote, mountainous country behind a protecting army?

That’s a very different situation of course, but that isn’t what’s facing us.

Uh Richard, how in the hell do you know that is not what is facing you???

You have some inside info that we the masses are not privy too???

That really is a completely absurd statement………Islamic terrorism is everywhere…..and as such, it is hiding everywhere….

It may not be the route some nations have chosen, but I think the UK is experienced enough in bomb attacks and terrorism to make decisions that are best for their country.

Remember the UK is tackling terrorism on two fronts - they have shouldered their military weight, work on intelligence and within their own country have made decisions that don’t violate UK or international law.

That may not suit the US mentality, but the UK is adjusting the way it needs to and for it’s best interests and the interests of most of it’s allies.

It is hardly an absurd statement.
Different that how you’d think and political decisions you are accustomed to, but hardly absurd.

Who’s being absurd?
