The Evangelical Outpost, recepient of Weblogs Religious Blog of the Year 2005 directs our attention to an ethics symposium for US believers, set up by Joe Carter and Justin Taylor.
They asked a group of academics and columists et al to address Charles Krauthammer’s Weekly Standard article, The Truth About Torture, in a Christian Ethics Symposium.
Quotes from great men are trotted out - the definitions looked at, the hypotheticals sorted carefully, civility and gravity shown, conclusions drawn.
If you think the Christian blogosphere needs more reflection and critical analysis about torture you can submit your beliefs to the mix.
Odd. As I type this George W. Bush is holding his year end news conference live. Fielding questions, he refers to his countries enemies as ‘it.’

Thanks, Bene. I have one minor correction, though. Justin Taylor is the director of theology at Desiring God ministries and has no association with World.
Oh, and I believe that when Bush is referring to “it” he is talking about an organization, Al Queda, and not individual enemies.

Okay, Justin Tayor, fixed.
