I hope Christmas Day was as good for you as it was for me! I led a short family service at 10.30 — but only after opening presents, of course! Father Christmas was kind to the family this year, and he remembered a few things for me too, which was very gratifying. A good mix. No Christmas would be complete without some socks and a pair of slippers, and I got those. I’m always glad of a gadget, and the mp3 player my brother sent fits that bill. (It has a built in mic, and I reckon that’s what will get used most. My mini iPod can’t do that). One of my daughters bought me a Phlat Ball, which looks like it will be fun. The other got me a new cycle computer, something I’ve been meaning to do since the old one died. My wife very kindly bought me a wireless router, and I hope it’s as easy to install as the box claims! There were a few other bits and bobs too, all very satisfactory. I’ll be writing a review of the Billy Bragg compilation that my sister sent, but I’ll own up now — I’m loving it.
After service a few of us gathered in the church kitch to cook Christmas dinner, just like last year, and it was a cheery little crowd that tucked into a festive feast a short time later. By the time we had cleared up it was late afternoon, time to ring round the relatives to wish them compliments of the season. By then it’s almost time for the Christmas event we’ve all been waiting for — like Greg Wiley I’ve been eagerly anticipating the Doctor Who Christmas special and it was worth the wait. David Tenant is going to be a cracking Doctor, I reckon, and my sources tell me that the scripts for the new series are even better than those for the last. Hurrah!
That’s all from me for now - I’m going to try no to touch my computer for a few days. Happy New Year!

Glad you had a good Christmas.
I got a bike computer too. Some advice on how to fix it on my bike would be appreciated….

Best Dr. Who ever! I did not think that they would broadcast it in Canada, but the CBC pulled through for me. I agree with the doctor nothing like a good cuppa to regenerate the body.

A short service - I envy you. Being an Anglican, I was there at 10:00 prompt, and only just made it home by midday! (Mind you, that did include a bit of chinwagging at the end. Still…) My agnostic mother, brought up a Methodist, was aghast.
