Images of Swansea

by Richard on April 19, 2006

It’s the sort of day outside on which one needs reminding that Swansea is a very pleasant place to live much of the time. Today is gloomy, wet and blustery, but it isn’t *always* like this.

A good place to be reminded of the more picturesque side of living in this fine city is the Swansea group on Flickr. There’s some amazing pictures, including the one I’ve borrowed here by milothe great.

Enjoy.

The picture you posted by milothe great is very similar to the one in the Micro Soft XP program of desktop background pictures called,. “bliss”. It is a picture of the green hill minus the tree. It is what comes up when I first turn on my computer.

I also wonder if it actually is IN Swansea, or more likely out in the Gower…..

There was a bit of a conversation about its similarity to that picture at the Flickr site, Carroll. (Good to hear from you — hope all’s well in Fruitland Park!)
Malc - it was apparently taken inside “mumbles” Castle.
