Reading the Bible

A new publication from SCM is Reading the Bible, with articles by our good friend Wood. Should be well worth getting.

Oooh, a mention for the book!!! Thanks for that Richard! There were copies in the bookstore at Greenbelt, though I suspect we’d have sold more if they’d put it out straight away, and without lots of nagging from various SCMers..

Does this mean you’ll be getting hold of one yourself?!

I hadn’t seen the “endorsements” page yet, that’s really encouraging, thank you for highlighting it :) I mislaid mine under a pile of “stuff to deal with” on my desk until about a fortnight after publication (despite having a sneak preview copy!), and only dug it out when nagged. First time I’ve contributed to something that’s actually made it into print!! Exciting. hope it gets the wide audience it deserves.

I do expect to be getting hold of a copy, sarah. Of course, if SCM were to send me a review copy I’d be able to share my unbiassed opinion with my vast readership at connexions. And I’m sure that both of them would buy copies.

It’s worth mentioning that Blonde was also a contributor too. As was I, but that’s a bit more predictable really. I’m really delighted that you’ve mentioned it and I’m sure you’ll share your unbiassed opinion regardless of whether we send you a review copy or not. ;)

I think a review copy could be arranged. Can you send your postal address to me? (co at movement.org.uk)

Cheers!

See Richard, look what a few contacts in the right place can do… ;)

Hope you enjoy it. I suppose I should get hold of a copy myself at some point too!

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have friends in high places!
