The funeral of Michael Blakey will be held on Saturday morning in his home town of Burnley. A number of us will be travelling up from Swansea, many by coach, a few others by their own means. I still find it hard to believe that he is gone. If you are not able to attend the service but would like to share a prayer with us, that would be good.
Mike’s father has asked me to pass on this message:
He was a happy young man- so, let us also celebrate his life and show happiness too.
Michael will be doing wondrous works elsewhere-just look up beyond and you will see!
His tremendous spirit will live on in all of us and guide us through our lives.
His life-relatively short life-was filled with so much passion, desire and achievement, fuelled by all his friends, family and colleagues throughout the world.
So, we can all feel proud, to have known Michael and help, influence and guide him in achieving such a dedicated, fruitful aspiration to help humanity.
Michael achieved so much in such a short time.
“A waste of a life but a life far from wastedâ€
Follow your heart and smile-it costs nothing.
Thank you all for being Michael’s dear friends, God Bless you all.
