Creation adds its “Amen!”

by Kim on December 25, 2007

For those of you not daft enough to go for a five-mile run at Christmas dawn, I can assure you that creation is adding its “Amen!” to the birth of our Lord - and their Lord too: the waves were breaking, the brooks bubbling, the ravens cawing, the owls hooting - and a mother fox and her cub yelping in high praise: MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone!

Amen to that Kim. By the way I borrowed a paragraph or three from your Boycott Nativity Plays post, but I did cite you as the author, for my sermon this coming Sunday.

Joy the World the Saviour reigns, let men their songs employ. While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains, repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy. RE-peeeet, RE-peeeeeeeet, the sounding joy.

Some of the psalms selected for this time of year also concur with your sentiments.
