Twitter blog

by Richard on November 10, 2008

I see that Darren Rowse has started a blog about using Twitter effectively. I’ve got a Twitter account, but I confess I still don’t see the point of it.

Darren’s evidently getting alot of readers, so it obviously makes sense to somebody. But not, sadly, to me.

Can anyone explain?

Doesn’t make sense to me. I use Twitter to let family and friends know what I’m doing, like going out, or likely to be late for supper. Very occasionally I let them know about a blog post.

It’s great for providing wee updates on what is going on. Two key examples would be

- Comment is Free (Guardian Blogs) use it to highlight key blog posts

- Stephen Fry - usues it for ‘personal’ updates and links to wider media

All the best

John
