Bloggers meet up

by Richard on February 22, 2009

Will Grady has been having a few days without the internet, but still managed to have some blogging fun. He’s been at St Deiniol’s Library, just up the road from here. On Friday I went up there and we spent a happy couple of hours chewing the fat and putting the world, or at least the church, to rights. Will’s a fine fellow and it was good to catch up with him again. I enjoy the interweb as much as anyone, but there’s nothing like really meeting people. From what Will says, Michaela Youngson has fetched up at St D’s too. Suddenly this part of Wales has become a hotbed of Methodist bloggers!

St D’s is great - I go there regularly. The rooms are comfortable and cheap, the food is excellent, the library is unbelievable, and you never know who you’ll find yourself talking to, or about what, over dinner. I’m aiming to be there again in about a month. Roll on March!

I hope you’ll let me know when you’re coming. It would be good to see you.

Hi Richard
I hadn’t realized St D was as close to Wrexham (my Welsh geography is lousy). Perhaps at Methodist Conference we should organize a fringe event for Methodist bloggers? Also, please can you change your hotlink to me to the sacredwells.blogspot.com cos Singing Colours is defunct? Thanks. M

I’d be up for a Conference fringe event for sure. I’ve added the link to Sacred Wells. Apologies - I thought I’d done that ages ago. How long are you at St D’s? Coffee?

At St D’s only until tomorrow am (tues). Desparately trying to write liturgy today but could be persauded to a tea break this afternoon. If you come over, the receptionist would ring my room. I won’t be going anywhere! Don’t worry if not.
