Went to see Aliens in the Attic tonight. I don’t think anyone is ever going to call this a great film, but it is good fun. The kids I went with came out very happy, and I had a goodish laugh from time-to-time. Don’t don’t go looking for an exploration of the human condition or anything, but if you’ve got children to entertain you could do worse.
An unexpected bonus of the evening was a random encounter with a college pal in Pizza Express: we haven’t seen one another in 15 years and it was great to catch up. Turns out he’ll be at Greenbelt with his family, adding to the reasons I have to look forward to the event. Wonder how many other old Queens there’ll be there?

No anti-immigration subtext?

I don’t think so. The script did keep referring to “space aliens”, which I found a bit distracting, but I’d take alot of convincing that this fillum had a subtext of any kind.
