Pre-Copenhagen rally

by Richard on October 22, 2009

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband MP will host a public rally tonight in East London, to give an update, and take questions, on the current state of negotiations in the lead to Copenhagen.

The rally comes in the midst of a number of important meetings - such as the UK hosted Major Economies Forum, the EU Council meeting on 21 October, and the Global Day of Action planned for 24 October - where Copenhagen and climate change are a major focus.

If you are interested in the Copenhagen negotiations but cannot attend the event, you can watch the live-stream here - via the player below - from 18.30 and submit questions online in advance or during the event, which the Secretary of State will try to address over the course of the evening.

Update: I’ve taken out the player, since the rally is now over. Catch up with what happened at the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Man, that video starts without warning! Almost made me spill my coffee!

Sorry ’bout that Tim. I don’t like auto-starting video, so I’ve removed it.
