Google Wave invitations

by Richard on November 13, 2009

I can’t claim that Google wave is the most important software I’ve ever used on the web, but I have had a bit of fun with it. I’m sure that its usefulness will increase with its userbase. I don’t think it will be everyone’s cup of tea, but what do I know? My record at spotting trends on the web is pretty poor. And I know I wouldn’t bet against Google.

Anyway, I’ve received a few invitations this morning with the following message

Invite others to Google Wave

Google Wave is more fun when you have others to wave with, so please nominate people you would like to add. Keep in mind that this is a preview so it could be a bit rocky at times.

Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick.

If you’d like an invite, leave a nice comment. This is not a competition to promote connexions, but any tweeting, blogging or Facebooking that brings a few readers this way would be appreciated. If I get more requests than I have invitations, I’ll have to put names in a hat or something.

Richard — I can see the potential of Google Wave. If everyone went for it, and we all got thoroughly into it, I agree it would be really significant. Don’t know the chance of that happening, though. In the meantime I’d be delighted for an invite…

I’ve got my hand up! Always got me into trouble in school because like this new thing I never knew what I was putting my hand up for.

I’d like one! This looks totally cool!

BTW, anybody know how soon I’d be able to give out invites if I do get invited? I’d like to do something like this with my blog…

Spare me one please. Funny as it may seems, he’s right, It is much harder to receive a wave invite than robbing a bank but the hardest one is to find someone good enough to give out an invite :D

Hope I’ll get one… ciao!

An invite is on its way. Hope you enjoy it. After the initial hype, I’m not convinced that Wave has lived up to expectations, but you might disagree.
