There’s been a power failure in Guildford today. That’s something like 200 miles from here, and you wouldn’t expect it to impact anyone this far away. But my wife’s employer’s servers and phone system are all in Guildford, giving her a morning of thumb-twiddling.
Makes you realize how fragile our hyper-connected, always -on world really is.
