Chum.ly

by Richard on February 10, 2010

Chum.ly is a new entrant onto the social media scene. It is designed to be a hub for your twitter, facebook, blogger and all the rest of it. I gather that the plan is to add more services in time. Phil Bradley describes it as a potential challenger to trwitter and he’s not someone I’d argue with. The interface looks much like Twitter. The main differences are that you can tag your posts with keywords (so no need for hashtags), you can post pictures and stuff directly (somewhat like brizz.ly), URLs are left in the clear (so you know what you’re clicking before you click it) and there’s no 140 character limit: you can write a long post, and Twitter will link back to the full thing on chum.ly.

It’s early days, but I think Phil is right. This could be one to watch.
