I gather that today is something of a festival for some folk. Apparently, today is something called Thanksgiving, which I gather is kind of a cross between an early Christmas and a late Harvest Festival. If you’re partying today with friends and family, I wish you a joyful day. What are you doing looking at your computer?!
Speaking of festivals, tomorrow is celebrated as the birthday of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak.

I was puzzled about Thanksgiving Day and wrote this in my blog yesterday (with a Thanksgiving poem that I’d come across) and I was then visited by soulfrommars in the Philippines who had taken the time to research this. So I now know that its origins go back to the Pilgrim Fathers. For a (very) full explanation of Thanksgiving Day, I suggest you visit http://www.soulfrommars.modblog.com .
