Wiki spam?
Question - is there any place on the world wide web spammers or spam bots haven’t been?

Tell me about it! and BlogWiki have both had to be cleaned up in the last day or two. Spam on a wiki is more destructive that comment spam, because the spammers tend to overwrite whole pages. They can be put back easily enough, but that’s hardly the point.

No, tell ME about it!!! We had it tough. We used to have to get up out of the shoebox at twelve o’clock at night, and LICK the wiki spam clean with our tongues… ;) I ended up deleting my wiki from the server. It was just too much trouble to have to delete the spam links and restore the content. I’m still playing around with wikis, but in a more restricted fashion.

You were lucky…

I had to get up at 4.30 in t’mornin’, do my own spam and THEN spend all day deletin’ it all!

I hear the pigeon delivery network’s just slammed with Rolex and Viagra scrolls waiting to be delivered. Poor pigeons are dropping from exhaustion and landing in pillowcases on people’s clotheslines…
