Sympathy sent via prayer and healing karma sent via carrier pigeon. Lemme know which gets there first.

A big cwtch from me for you, mate!
dh 07.19.10 at 6:18 pm
Richard, you are in my prayers. and no I do not believe in karma.
Richard 07.19.10 at 6:19 pm
Thanks Jeremy. I’ll be on the alert.
That’ll be a manly cwtch, I assume Kim?

Whilst I am far too crmudgeonly to offer sympathy as a rule but as you are the grandfather of British Methodist blogging I will send up a prayer for you and hope the pain is soon eased.

sympathy…

Kim and Richard cuddling. Awe ain’t that sweet.
We’ll the first century church “greeted each other with a Holy kiss.” I’m sure it was a “manly” one for the men and “womanly” for the women.
So I guess it isn’t out the question within its proper context.

I was nowhere in the vicinity at the time!
Get well soon.

Thanks everyone. That outpouring has done the trick - feeling better already.
Jeremy - that carrier pigeon with the healing karma hasn’t arrived yet. As it doesn’t look like I’ll need it immediately, would you like me to send it back or may I hang on to it?
Simon 07.19.10 at 9:35 pm
I thought Stenna provided cross channel ferries. Maybe they are another provider

Oh, poor you
It’s a shock to the system, isn’t it? But (if you’re like me) you don’t notice at the time because you’re too busy making sure that no-one saw you lose your dignity.
Richard 07.19.10 at 10:29 pm
I’m afraid my daughter witnessed the whole sorry affair Beth.
Simon, you’re right. It’s Stenna for ferries, Stannah for stairlifts. And Stella for Artois.

At least it wasn’t a fall from grace (or was it?).
PamBG 07.20.10 at 1:08 am
Hope you feel better soon.

@Richard, keep the pigeon. Poor guy had a loooong flight already, better to commit him to bringing goodwill, cheer, and very small trinkets to local people for the future.

I do hope the dog is providing a doggy share of comfort.
Having suffered permanently from that launch off the stairs a few years ago, I hate to see anyone aching or hurt from a tumble. Prayers and good wishes…
Beth 07.21.10 at 12:41 pm
Poor you, Bene. I’m permanently terrified of going down stairs ever since breaking a foot so doing three years ago. On Good Friday. (The following year, I broke a rib on Yom Kippur. Religious festivals aren’t good for me.)
Richard - are you better?
Richard 07.21.10 at 1:11 pm
I’m fine now. Thanks everyone.
